"I Need A Xenomorph Headpiece"
"I Need A Xenomorph Headpiece"
This project was so fun. The client needed a Xenomorph mask -BUT- the wearer has tactile sensitivities. So we decided to make a piece that would sit on top of the head instead of covering the face. To facilitate this, I built a foam core support structure for the head on top of a helmet, lined with foam for a secure fit. The beastie was created with variety of materials, mainly EVA foam and random tubes from an auto parts store. Once everything was in place I coated everything with Plastidip for the matte black look. I found the glossiest gloss in all the land to make the top part of the head shiny, and finished the teeth with silver model paint and hot glue to make permanent drool. Scary fun.
