"I Need A Hair Accessory Replica"

The client was recreating an iconic character's iconic wardrobe from an iconic franchise. At the last minute they realized the hair accessory they bought elsewhere was not to their liking. I had 24 hours to figure out how to make it, source the materials, fabricate and deliver it. Luckily the hardware store had rubber tubing that formed the perfect foundation. I covered them with a thin sheet of EVA foam and wrapped a wire around each one for hte spiral texture. I then mixed paint to color match the original, primed and painted the bands. The final touch was half-sphere metallic adhesive accents, stamped texture into the foam, and sewn in loops for bobby pins. Happy to report the whole thing was delivered on time, and all the glue and paint was 100% dry (full credit to my hair dryer).
